Dell announced their latest Inspiron Mini today, The Nickelodeon Edition. Working closely with Nickelodeon and leveraging MyColors technology, Stardock created a personalized kid-themed interface that includes Nickelodeon wallpaper and icons, a custom skin for Windows Media Player and a Start Menu that oozes slime.
MyColors is a quick and easy way to customize the look and feel of your Windows desktop environment. With MyColors, there is no need to have several applications to transform your desktop into one of the many themes that are available.
The interface also provides easy access to dynamically-updated content into dedicated Dell landing zones on the desktop. Each Dell Mini Nickelodeon Edition comes with a "Just for You" widget that lets kids easily choose which new game and TV content that want to see from Nick.com.

Stardock announced the release of MyColors 2.6 today. MyColors is a quick and easy way to customize the look and feel of your Windows desktop environment. With MyColors, there is no need to have several applications to transform your desktop into one of the many themes that are available. MyColors handles it all. MyColors has licensed themes from your favorite sports team, auto, college sports team, and much more.
Each theme includes a visual style, a set of custom icons to match, wallpaper, and some even include functional desktop gadgets that display weather information or plays media.
The MyColors 2.6 update includes:
- Smaller, more usable user interface
- Improved the reliability of icons applying
- Includes WindowBlinds 6.4 OEM engine
- Included IconPackager 4.x OEM engine
- Language support
- Made UI MUI aware, will automatically set to local language during install
- Added wallpaper tab
The MyColors download includes several free themes to try out, and many others are available for purchase. MyColors is also part of the Object Desktop suite of desktop enhancements, and can be downloaded via Impulse.

Last year's successful launch of the Apple iPhone made clear to cell phone makers that yes, the experience a "commodity" provides for the customer matters. PC makers have begun to take note and leading the way is Dell who began pre-loading the new Dell Dock on consumer PCs yesterday.
Developed by Stardock's ObjectDock team, the Dell Dock is not based on the ObjectDock code but rather a brand-new Stardock technology platform designed to deliver exquisite performance while being incredibly efficient with system resources.
